| “Uno” and numbers that end with “uno” become “un” when
followed by a masculine noun, eg. un ordenador (a computer), treinta y un
ordenadores;
“uno” becomes
“una” when followed by a feminine noun eg una chica, treinta y una chicas;
“doscientos/trescientos” etc become “doscientas/trecientas”
when followed by a feminine noun, eg. doscientas manzanas
Also note that numbers are written differently in Spanish. The English written 1,400 would become 1.400 in Spanish or 1,526,208 would be 1.526.208 or
1.50€ would be written 1,50€; commas and periods being reversed.
